Project Description

A whole-home addition to a family’s beloved vacation property means twice the space to capture family traditions and memories.

Tied together using custom wood decking and walkways, it’s impossible to imagine where the old home ends and the new one begins. That includes saving an old apple tree, a family favorite, and incorporating it into the design.

Bringing together — fusing if you will — the old and the new was the goal behind this home.

Comfy features, like exposed beam work and a car decking (tongue-and-groove) ceiling, make the great room as cozy as you’d expect from a vacation getaway. Not to mention the knotty pine trim throughout the entire addition.

But it’s the 16’ x 8’ Anderson four-panel sliding glass door that showcases the glory of the Pacific Northwest with its unmatched ocean and beach view.
